Craving Sprouts - Brussels Sprouts

Brussels sprouts! I crave them like no other this time of year.  Do you have a favorite way to serve them?

We usually cut them in half and steam them in our steaming basket. Then dip those suckers in lemon butter. (Lemon butter great is for artichokes as well.)

2 containers for $4 at the market!

  1. Sauted with a little butter, syrup/brown sugar and pecans.

  2. Cut in half, tossed with olive oil, salt and pepper and oven roasted. So simple and soooooo good.

I have recently moved to Tacoma from Bothell and, while I'm happy with the move, I really miss the Yakima Fruit Market.

  4. Butter and brown sugar! YUM! I like carrots with butter and brown sugar too. Also a fan of the olive oil, salt, pepper roasted version. Alone, they have almost a nutty flavor.
(Angela- sad to hear you moved so far away! Hope you get back to visit sometimes.)
